They rely on the training and experience of The Hope Center staff and our fully state-of-the-art facility to meet the needs of their patients. In addition to nine emergency clinicians, our center houses full time specialists in Internal Medicine, Surgery (VSC), and Cardiology (CVCA).
We boast a warm, friendly, team atmosphere with a moderately busy caseload conducive to learning thorough diagnostics and treatments. Primary case responsibility and many opportunities to learn specialized surgeries and emergency procedures is given to interns and mentorship from the emergency clinicians and specialists is always on hand. Interns will rotate through Emergency, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Surgery. Mentorship is always available and unlike many internships, overnight emergency shifts are always staffed with two overnight veterinarians. The internship is ideal for those seeking practical experience and in-depth training their first year as a veterinarian whether interested in pursuing a residency or going on to private practice. The Hope Center is dedicated to making the internship as valuable to the interns as they are to us. We encourage those individuals with the motivation to enrich their knowledge and acquire valuable skills in a welcoming
atmosphere to visit the staff and the hospital. Included in the learning experience will be teaching rounds, journal club rounds, and morbidity and mortality rounds.
We are looking for enthusiastic, team-oriented individuals who take initiative to learn and practice the highest quality medicine and thrive in a fast paced environment.
Interns will have full access to the following:
