Pet Passenger Safety Week?

This week, (Sept 18-24) is national Child Passenger Safety Week according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The agency offers many guidelines for safely transporting children of all ages and highlights the importance of keeping kids safe in the car.

But as they focus on two-legged children, we want to focus on four-legged ones! Take the time this week to make sure those car trips are safe for your pets. The ASPCA has information that detail a number of tips for traveling with pets.

Identify emergency animal clinics close to locations you plan to visit during your trip. This is an especially important precaution if your dog is enjoying his golden years.
